We wish you a merry X-Mas!

A festive post and a nice idea from Wieden+Kennedy:

"To advertise the imminent arrival of its flagship London store, Nokia has joined forces with Wieden+Kennedy London to introduce the first interactive Christmas lights display. Fourteen motion sensor LED light structures now line Regent Street and have the ability to shift colour formations in response to crowd density, wind speed, weather and levels of sunlight. The lights can be viewed on Regent Street until January 6." posted by Markus

iBangle You Say?

December 18, 2008

Just when you thought iPods couldn’t get any smaller, designer Gopinath Prasana has came up with yet another eye-candy concept for an iPod called iBangle. With a huge possibility to be the next generation of the iPod family, his concept has transformed Apple’s iPod into a sleek thin aluminum bracelet. With an inflatable air chamber to adjust to different wrist sizes and wireless in-ear headphones, this little beauty can definitely be a big hit with the fashionably forward consumers around the world. But will consumers  only consider this as a girl’s accessory? Does this have enough unisex appeal to it? Mind you, I can see Kanye West wearing this in 18k white gold with added 14k diamonds around it. posted by Rodrigo

Monumental 3D Video Projection

These guys surely know how to entertain you on a monumental scale. And commercially speaking, they definitely have means to create a ‘wow’ factor for any event, exhibition or building opening or even a product launch. They specialise in 3D-Mapping Video Projection which is a much more evolved way of projecting a piece of information on a massive surface or architecural structure. Compared to the usual projection of static images we’ve seen around…

Microsoft Surface

This piece of technology is still quite amazing to watch. Especially as it allows more than one person to work independently or simultaneously. It is, indeed, a new way of interacting with digital content. That’s a lot more fun!

“Journey”

Old ‘photo joiner’ concept, but very nicely done, and an interesting alternative to a standard video.

Viewing Multiple Charts/order tickets/Market Analysis etc…

I’m sure you’ve all seen or used Cooliris by now, but if not it a rather sexy way of shopping and browsing pics and videos. Just thought I’d get it up here to spark some thinking about the way we browses multiple items e.g. order tickets, instruments, charts, videos etc…

Any Designer not seen the Flash Flex Component Viewer?

Check this, learn what parts of the components are easy to skin or style, and learn that the coolest developers just cook with water too ;-)

Banking in World of Warcraft

"Every Hero needs a place to hide his or her treasures! Visit a bank in World of Warcraft to store items for later use. You can store quest items, weapons, armor, trade-skill components, products for later sale, and more! The six major cities each have a full-service bank for your use, and additional banks can be found at a few special locations around the world. Most minor towns and outposts don’t have banks. "

We don’t have to add anything here, but check out the cute little banker behind the desk!
