The new Sony Bravia ambient advert

Fallon’s latest ad for Sony Bravia features an enormous zoetrope in Venaria, a town near Turin in northern Italy. The zoetrope has been causing a stir online for the last couple of months, with Sony posting films of it in action on YouTube while the ad was being created. The zoetrope presents a series of still images of the footballer Kaká, which when rotated (at speeds up to 50km per hour) and viewed through small slits on the outside of the zoetrope, give the illusion of being animated. posted by Gemma

Not a commercial from a real bank (that would have been too much to ask), but still finance, and done well.
You would consider them in the class of "commercials with a mix of particle system animations and documentary style photography", like Sony did at first in their commercials. Never before was the Western Union portrayed with so much sympathy. posted by Markus
From the telegraph, here’s a gallery of very smart billboards:

These guys surely know how to entertain you on a monumental scale. And commercially speaking, they definitely have means to create a ‘wow’ factor for any event, exhibition or building opening or even a product launch. They specialise in 3D-Mapping Video Projection which is a much more evolved way of projecting a piece of information on a massive surface or architecural structure. Compared to the usual projection of static images we’ve seen around…
Old ‘photo joiner’ concept, but very nicely done, and an interesting alternative to a standard video.
